“Everyday in April at NOON on Facebook and Instagram. Our virtual scavenger hunt is a fun and engaging way for you to help us with our mission and one day end sexual assault! Each item should be posted on our Facebook page or Instagram.
Use #LaFASASAAM or tag LaFASA or post in the comment section of each announced item so we can see your find. THE PERSON(S) WITH THE MOST DAILY POSTS WILL WIN A PRIZE ! Make it fun, share with your friends and see who is up to the challenge!”
SAAM Teal Tuesdays
“Wear teal every Tuesday to show you support survivors and pledge to end sexual assault.
Take a photo of yourself and post it online. Don’t forget to tag LaFASA and use #LAFASASAAM and #tealtuesdays.”
LaFASA’S TIKTOK CHALLENGE FOR SAAM – April 14- April 17
“Post your TikTok videos on our FB or Insta pages. You can win if people vote for your video! The video with the MOST likes by April 28 at 5PM wins the challenge!
RULES OF THE CHALLENGE:
Videos must promote one of the following themes: Consent; “Yes Means Yes”; Free counseling for survivors; Free legal advocacy for survivors; Respect; You ARE Powerful.
All videos are subject to deletion by LaFASA if they don’t meet our criteria. Deletions will be done without explanation. Any videos posted after April 17 will be deleted.
Can you do it in 15 seconds? Get you kids involved. Have them make a video to post! Facebook/Instagram followers will be the judge!

TUESDAY TRIVIA NIGHT ONLINE, Tuesday April 21, 2020, 6:00PM until 7:30PM
“Tuesday Trivia Night is an entertaining way to become more educated about sexual assault or show off what you already know!
Use #LaFASASAAM and invite friends to join the party. Eat, drink, and virtually participate. It’ll be ALMOST like trivia at your local bar. The winner gets bragging rights AND two tickets to our Denim Day: An Evening on the Runway event (Date TBD).”
Screening of Sita Sings The Blues, Friday, April 24, 2020, 2:00pm – 3:30pm
“Sita Sings the Blues is a beautifully animated feature film written, directed, produced, and animated by American artist Nina Paley. The film uses a pared-down adaptation of the legend that retains many of its finer details while adopting a perspective sympathetic towards Sita; in the director’s words, the film is “a tale of truth, justice and a woman’s cry for equal treatment.” It addresses contemporary parallels to Nina’s own life.
