Organizations that we support

  • Innocence Project of New Orleans

    • Our firm’s motto is “A Passion for Justice.” The Innocence Project of New Orleans frees innocent prisoners and helps to support freed clients. We donate to the cause and attend fundraising events.

STAR – Sexual Trauma Awareness and Response

      • The attorneys of Lamothe Law Firm are experienced in defending sexual assault survivors. We support STAR’s efforts to provide survivors with advocacy, counseling and legal services that are available free to youth and adult survivors of sexual assault.

    • Louisiana Bar Foundation

        • Frank Lamothe is a fellow who supports the Louisiana Bar Foundation. The Foundation promotes efforts which enhance the legal profession, increase public understanding of the legal system, and advance the reality of equal justice under the law.  The Foundation supports many Louisiana non-profit initiatives that help children, domestic violence survivors, low income, and juvenile offenders through the justice system.

      • Louisiana Foundation Against Sexual Assault (LaFASA)

        • We represent both adult and child sexual assault victims, and have deep compassion for our clients and the harm they have endured. LaFASA’s mission is to end sexual violence in Louisiana, through education, program support, and social change. The Lamothes recently raised funds for LaFASA in conjunction with their participation in the Baja XL Road Rally.

      • Motorcycle Relief Project

        • Most of our employees are motorcycle riders. We are long-distance and track riders and have also participated in Enduro and Motocross races. We frequently represent victims of motorcycle accidents. The Motorcycle Relief Project is based in Evergreen, Colorado and provides therapeutic motorcycle adventures for veterans and first responders. The firm has sponsored rides for veterans with PTSD to help them decompress, learn some tools for managing stress, and connect with other veterans with whom they have something in common.

      • Motorcycle Riders Foundation

        • Frank Lamothe is a member. MRF protects the rights of motorcycle riders including their freedom and safety through education and legislation.

      • National Center for Crime Victims

        • Our firm is a member of the National Crime Victim Bar Association. The organization advocates for stronger rights, protection and services for crime victims. Some initiatives include a DNA Resource Center, Talking Resource Center, Youth Initiative, and the National Crime Victim Bar Association.

      • New Orleans Family Justice Center

        • Along with representing victims of sexual assault and abuse, Lamothe Law Firm attorneys lecture on child molestation and abuse topics, and have authored numerous articles on the subject. NOFJC provides counseling, legal advocacy, emergency safe housing, a sexual assault response team, and violence prevention outreach to families in New Orleans. Our firm donates funds every year to this valuable resource.

      • New Orleans Chamber of Commerce

        • The Lamothe Law Firm is a member of the New Orleans Chamber of Commerce. We love to participate any way we can in our local community.

      • Pound Civil Justice Institute

        • The Pound Civil Justice Institute is a national legal “think tank” created by pioneering members of the trial bar and dedicated to ensuring access to justice for ordinary citizens. Through its activities, the Institute works to give lawyers, judges, legal educators, and the public a balanced view of the issues affecting the U.S. civil justice system. Frank Lamothe is a Fellow who is committed to strengthening the civil justice system.

      • Public Justice Foundation

        • Public Justice staff attorneys fight against injustices such as corporations cheating consumers, reckless polluters, unscrupulous payday lenders, unjust employers, punitive credit card companies, inhumane government detention centers, and more.  The firm donates money annually.

      • Survivors Network of those Abused by Priests (SNAP)

        • Lamothe Law Firm has successfully represented many victims of abuse who resided at religious institutions or attended churches of various faiths. SNAP is a support group for women and men abused by religious and institutional authorities. The Firm has sponsored scholarships for SNAP members to enable them to attend the annual conference.

On January 25, 2019, father-and-son team Frank and Julien Lamothe from the Lamothe Law Firm participated in the Baja XL Road Rally, a 2,500-mile journey that’s not only demanding, but also full of dangers and uncertainties. It was a challenge that was full of difficulties and unpredictability – much like the ongoing mission of LaFASA to end sexual violence in Louisiana, through education, program support, and social change. Competing as Calliope Racing –  Frank and Julien took on the Baja XL trek, driving 300-400 miles each day through rough and inhospitable terrain on dark desolate dirt roads – all to benefit LaFASA.

On September 29, 2019, Frank Lamothe, Richard Martin and Julien Lamothe “rode dapper for a cause” in the New Orleans version of The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride. This unique motorcycling event unites motorcycle riders all over the world to raise money for prostate cancer research and men’s mental health. Started in Australia in 2012, this event has grown every year with last year’s events held in 102 countries and 648 cities.
