Fundraisers
On January 25, 2019, father-and-son team Frank and Julien Lamothe from the Lamothe Law Firm participated in the Baja XL Road Rally, a 2,500-mile journey that’s not only demanding, but also full of dangers and uncertainties. It was a challenge that was full of difficulties and unpredictability – much like the ongoing mission of LaFASA to end sexual violence in Louisiana, through education, program support, and social change. Competing as Calliope Racing – Frank and Julien took on the Baja XL trek, driving 300-400 miles each day through rough and inhospitable terrain on dark desolate dirt roads – all to benefit LaFASA.
On September 29, 2019, Frank Lamothe, Richard Martin and Julien Lamothe “rode dapper for a cause” in the New Orleans version of The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride. This unique motorcycling event unites motorcycle riders all over the world to raise money for prostate cancer research and men’s mental health. Started in Australia in 2012, this event has grown every year with last year’s events held in 102 countries and 648 cities.
