Survivors of clergy child sexual abuse and other creditors overwhelmingly approved a $230 million bankruptcy settlement with the Archdiocese of New Orleans. The deal was accepted by a nearly unanimous 99.63% of creditors, meeting the midnight deadline on Thursday. A small group of bond investors were the only ones to vote against it, as they pursue a lawsuit alleging securities fraud against the church.
