LLF attorney Kristi Schubert recently attended the 2nd Annual Champions of Change Gala in New Orleans “to honor survivors and allies who shattered the silence of sexual assault this year.” Kristi was “proud to have known and worked with keynote speaker Angela Lore throughout her journey to confront her perpetrators.”
Louisiana’s STAR (Sexual Trauma Awareness and Response) puts on this annual event to raise funds and awareness, and where they recognize advocates and community partners that allow them to continue their work to serve survivors of sexual violence. STAR provides supportive services to sexual assault survivors including advocacy, counseling and legal services. These services are available to youth and adult survivors of sexual violence at no cost.
