STAR or Sexual Trauma Awareness & Response is a nonprofit organization committed to serving youth and adult survivors of sexual trauma. STAR has a mission: “To support survivors of sexual trauma, improve systems response and create social change to end sexual violence.”
Advocacy and Counseling Provided to Survivors
Some of the services provided at no cost to survivors at any stage include going with you to medical exams, law enforcement interviews and court proceedings; helping to develop a plan to keep you safe; counseling to help you move past the trauma; and helping to navigate the criminal and civil legal systems.
STAR offers support groups including Survivor Support groups and Masculinity after Trauma groups.
