Frank Lamothe holds a strong belief in giving back to the Covington community that hosts him. This deeply felt moral obligation spurs his involvement in the Christwood Retirement Community, a continuing care organization in the area. Frank is President of the Board of Directors for the organization and a member of it’s Executive Committee. The Christwood Retirement Center helps seniors lead dignified, independent lives while providing all necessary physical, medical, and spiritual care.
Rusty Savoie also volunteers in the community, giving his time to the Southeast Louisiana Legal Services Pro Bono Project, which provides free civil legal services to low-income area residents. He aids the St. Tammany Association for Retarded Citizens, a private, nonprofit group serving families in the surrounding communities. Savoie also works with Crimefighters, a volunteer organization created to assist crime victims with physical, emotional, and financial recovery. Savoie also works with the Covington Food Bank which provides food, assistance with rent, utilities, medications and clothing for those who have found themselves facing financial hardship due to unforeseen circumstances. In addition, he volunteers with the St. Anselm Catholic Church in Madisonville and serves as Den Leader for the local Boy Scout troop, providing a strong, successful role model for local youth.
