Honors
The Lamothe Law Firm has been recognized by many organizations that identify and herald America’s top attorneys. The firm’s honors include the Best Lawyers in America, Louisiana Super Lawyers, the American College of Trial Lawyers, American Board of Trial Advocates, Outstanding Lawyers of America (OLA), The Litigation Counsel of America, and the Million Dollar Advocates Forum. In addition, he has been listed as one of the Best Lawyers in New Orleans by New Orleans Magazine.
The Best Lawyers in America
The Best Lawyers in America is regarded as the preeminent referral guide to the legal profession in the United States. To be elected for inclusion in the Best Lawyers, a candidate must pass an exhaustive review in which leading lawyers in the United States evaluate the candidate’s work. Simply to be nominated is an honor, and inclusion requires rigorous evaluation from peer lawyers. What makes The Best Lawyers in America unique is that fact that there are no listing fees to bias which attorneys are included. Frank Lamothe is one of the select few attorneys who have been listed in every edition of the Best Lawyers in America since its inception in 1983.
Louisiana Super Lawyers
Only five percent of Louisiana attorneys are chosen for this honor each year and Mr. Lamothe has been included in both the 2007 and 2008 Louisiana Super Lawyers lists. The Super Lawyer’s selection process includes peer nominations followed by a blue ribbon panel review and independent research of each candidate. Candidates are evaluated on certain professional achievements and various performance indicators such as verdicts, settlements, transactions, experience, honors and awards, pro bono activity and bar activities.
American College of Trial Lawyers
The American College of Trial Lawyers is an exclusive organization. Admission is extended only by invitation after a thorough investigation. Selections are made by experienced trial lawyers who have mastered the art of trial advocacy and whose professional careers have been marked by the highest standards of ethical conduct, professionalism, civility and collegiality. Membership in the American College of Trial Lawyers can never exceed more than one (1%) percent of the total lawyer population in any state of the union. To be a member, a trial lawyer must be “unquestionably and eminently qualified and be regarded as the best in their state.”
The exhaustive review process consists of in-person interviews with judges and lawyers who have handled matters most adverse to the candidate. This multi-layered process requires the candidate pass rigorous scrutiny prior to being admitted.
American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA)
Mr. Lamothe is also a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates. To be a member, a candidate must have tried a certain number of jury cases to conclusion. Membership is by invitation only. Having demonstrated his extraordinary ability as a jury trial lawyer, Mr. Lamothe has been a member of ABOTA since 1996. A primary mission of ABOTA is to preserve the right to jury trial and preservation of the civil jury system. ABOTA makes every effort to inform the public about the vital importance of the Seventh Amendment, which gives the right to trial by jury.
Outstanding Lawyers of America (OLA)
Mr. Lamothe was selected for inclusion in Outstanding Lawyers of America (OLA). The organization was founded to recognize and promote outstanding achievement in the practice of law, and to provide a means for locating quality legal counsel across the United States. Membership in OLA is limited to only 100 highly rated attorneys in each state. These members are nominated by peer reviews, professional achievements and accomplishments, or from the surveys conducted by reputable organizations and publications.

The Litigation Counsel of America
The Litigation Counsel of America is a trial lawyer honorary society composed of less than one-half of one percent of American lawyers. Fellowship in the LCA is highly selective and by invitation only.
New Orleans Magazine
Every other year New Orleans Magazine publishes a list of attorneys who have been selected by their peers as the best lawyers practicing in the New Orleans area. Mr. Lamothe has received the honor of being identified as one of the Best Lawyers in New Orleans by the publication.

Million Dollar Advocates Forum
Mr. Lamothe is member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum. It is limited to membership of attorneys who achieved a verdict or settlement of one million dollars or more on behalf of a client.
